I’m not even kidding when I say Injustice should have been a batman story. Clark as a completely gone dictatorial murderer doesn’t work at all - I’m not some mega superman Stan saying “he would never” it’s literally not indicitive to his character.

( speaking as a mentally ill person who suffered trauma ) Bruce has shown multiple times he’s unbalanced enough to go over the edge, he’s got the money and power to lex Luther his way into owning half the world and all the secrets of the justice League at his fingertips.

I hate OP can’t be beaten batman but this was their chance for it to make SENSE.

Plus - the act of killing the Joker going to someone else? is hollow and ugly and takes something real and raw away from bruce.

Bruce should have been the one to snap in injustice, maybe even because joker found a way to kill Clark in the metropolis explosion.

He’d have a perfect platform to get humans on his side too’ the titular “gods among us” instill fear and panic on earth and hunt them down and the justice League would have to build up from NOTHING

Injustice 2 Review!

chromoreviews-blog

Originally When i first laid eyes on this game i was excited. Since Warner Bros released Injustice Gods Amongst Us, I must have put in about 10 days worth of game play on that game. The Story was so rich and all the challenges with it would keep you busy for hours! The combos were all different for each character and every single hero/villain felt like a new experience and its own entity, But Somehow warner bros found a way to top one of my favorite games by there brand by dropping Injustice 2! The fighting is so immerse and versatile that anyone giving this game a bad review is a mad man! Overall I personally enjoy Batman/Joker as one of my favorite characters and the fact that hes the main protagonist makes it even more sweet of an experience to enjoy. Personally i dont agree that everyone in the game is balanced but if your looking for a versatile pick you should go with batman or Night Wing. The Story mode picks up where Injustice 1 left off and begins with a heart breaking fight between Batman and his own son since Robin took on superman’s twisted ideologies and pledges allegiance to superman. I don’t wanna spoil to much for you but this is a must buy compared to all the other lousy releases recently from other companies…..

Rating: 9.2/10

Excellent Must buy!

Unpopular opinion: I think that Slytherins make for the most boring villains. I can think of three really great Slytherin villains: Vader, Palpatine, and of course Voldemort himself. My favorite villains personally are the Hufflepuffs, followed by Ravenclaws and then Gryffindors. The Hufflepuffs are the villains who think that they’re the heroes all the way until the very end, and maybe even past it. I’d put Hanzo as a Hufflepuff villain, for example. He “killed” Genji but he was doing it out of loyalty and a sense of justice for his family.

The example that got me started thinking on this path is the Vulture, from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Aside from (guardians vol. 2 spoilers) Ego, he’s my favorite marvel villain so far by a long shot. And that’s because I honestly believe that everything he was doing was out of a love and concern for his daughter and wife. He was, to me, a Hufflepuff through and through.

From here on, I’m just going to sort various villains into what houses that I personally think they belong in. Feel free to PM me if you want to ask why or even if you want to debate it. Reblogs are also good but if you want to start off a conversation I’d prefer a PM so that I don’t have this massively long reblog chain on my blog.

Gryffindor:

-Doomfist
-Miko Miyazaki  (from order of the stick, if you don’t know)
-Deathstroke is about 50% this
-idk man there aren’t many gryffindor villains I can think of???

Hufflepuff:

-The Vulture
-Mr. Freeze
-Most Mafia villains
-Honey Bunny and Pumpkin
-Sandman
-The Joker pre-chemicals, if his failing comedian with a wife story is to be believed
-You could argue that Ragnar Lodbrok is a villain on Vikings
-Superman in Injustice: Gods Among Us

Ravenclaw:

-Heath Ledger’s Joker
-Dr. Poison
-Mad Scientists in General
-Pandora (not really a villain but close enough)
…I’m done now

Slytherin:

-Ok so I KNOW that not all Slytherins are just card-carrying villains but it’s true, the nature of the house values does make it more likely to produce villains. As such, I think most villains fit in here and would therefore be boring to put into Slytherin. Instead, I’ll talk about my favorite choice of Slytherin hero: Goku. From what I’ve heard, at least, his primary reason for fighting is just to get himself to be the strongest there can be. It’s gotten to the point where he will simply allow his opponents to power up, even when that could put the world, galaxy, or universe at risk. For him, it’s all about his ambition to get stronger. Goku is the best pick for Slytherin hero in my opinion.

Injustice 1 story mode review

alexr-fightgames

So while I was sitting with my tineh babeh, I played the Injustice 1 story mode. On wireless pad. Pausing things when she needed something.

It’s great! The story is pretty interesting; there’s nothing like deeply shocking about the story itself, but it’s coherent and well-motivated, and it gets more exciting as it goes, both in content and presentation. I feel like the animation on the earlier FMV fight scenes isn’t as exciting, but it picks up quickly. I don’t even care that much about DC comics, but they made almost all the characters seem cool, and the dialogue is well-written. They make Deathstroke really likeable. The story as a whole is pretty satisfying. Who doesn’t want to destroy an anti-democratic heavy-handed regime run by an asshole who thinks he’s above the law, especially these days? (Superman is so deeply worrisome; I have always had it out for him)

If we’re comparing fighting game story modes, the story hangs together better than the Tekken 7 story. And it doesn’t have The Narrator. (I care a lot more about the Tekken cast, though, so that story was more emotionally satisfying for me – but that’s just me.)

I hadn’t played NRS games much since MK4 (my friends and I played so much MK1-3 and Trilogy, back in the 90s <3 ), but it was interesting learning to fight a bit in that engine! Lots of the movesets felt pretty good. I could totally see getting into Inj2, given a billion spare hours.

My only real concern with the combat kombat is that I feel like it’s hard to capture what Batman should feel like in the MK engine, y’know? The distilled essence of Batman is the intro from The Animated Series, or the Dark Knight Returns graphic novel, right?? To have him stand there, upright, such that his location is known seems wrong. His fundamental weapon is ambiguity and fear, right? Are the Arkham games good? I haven’t played them.

Ha, I say I don’t care much about DC comics, but apparently I have strong feelings about Batman.

… so I guess I’ll play Inj2 story mode when that game goes on sale in a year or two.

‘til then… Sylvia is now 6.5 weeks old, so I think it’s about time we go in on some pair play Tekken Tag 2… hope you’re all ready to catch some very small electrified hands.

I really fucking hate injustice Bruce for how he treated Damian. Yes, Dick was his son but his death was an accident and yet he completely blames Damian. You’d think someone who, let’s say, saw their parents die at a young age and still deals with survivors guilt as an adult, would understand how fucked up that is to put all the blame on a child. Dick was also Damian’s brother and he loved him too. How the fuck do you think he feels, Bruce?

Let’s not forget that Bruce is doing nothing to get Tim out of the phantom zone. Bruce only wanted Dick(you know what I mean, get your head out of the gutter) and never gave a shit about any of his other children. What pisses me off more is Damian haters jumping on the bandwagon because “Damian killed Dick!!!” And think Bruce is totally justified solely because they don’t like Damian Wayne.

Injustice Bruce is a shit father. If you play favorites with your children and guilt trip a young boy over an accident, you’re a piece of shit. I hope main universe batman kicks his fucking ass for being this awful.

It’s okay if you don’t think the same but I’ll never forgive injustice batman for this shit.

I am convinced more than ever that Batman is terrible for Superman and possibly the DC Universe as a whole.

The DCAU turned Superman into an idiot so Batman could be the hero, Injustice turned Superman into the villain so Batman could be the hero, Snyder’s Justice League had this five part stupid epic that had Superman as an sad dope who raises the son Bruce had with Lois while Batman dies awesomely. The only time Superman gets to stand out as his own character is the Arrowverse, which conspicously only has Batwoman and no Batman (yet), which I can’t even enjoy completely because of the behind the scenes drama behind his show.

Sure, these are the fault of multiple writers but things line up together to form a single coherent thought: Batman and Superman must be separated as much as possible. They should not be allowed within the same vicinity or universe to each other, because Batman will always find a way to take over whatever DC property he is in and strangle the life out of it.

Injustice managed to overpower Batman to levels that break your suspension of disbelief and at the same time the only thing we could believe Batman can actually do it's the one that doesn't really happen?

Like over the years we have been hammered through the head with the idea that Batman could beat the Justice League with his contingency plans AND LIKE YES THATS MAKES SENSE THATS VERY BRUCE OF HIM but that doesn't happen in a universe where you have a chance to use said contingency plans instead we get Alfred with hyperdrugs beating Superman up and Dick Grayson killed by a rock smaller than an apple and we're supposed to buy your comic

For Years Heroes Are Here has been the “Friendly Neighborhood Comic Shop” located in Goldsboro, NC. My mother and grandparents took me there for the first time when I was 6 and I have been going ever since. It’s changed hands a couple of times, but the feel has remained the same: a safe haven and sanctuary for all types of comic reader & collector.
The current owner has found himself between a rock and a hard place recently and could use all the help that can be offered.
Please, help me help him.

There is a GoFundMe page up and with every donation he receives he will donate comics to our troops and children.
